İstanbul Photo Awards is an international news photography contest organized by Anadolu Ajansı. The contest aims to contribute to the sphere of news photography and offers a perspective shaped by the region’s unique position at the center of diverse cultures. The awards reward endeavors of courageous and talented photojournalists from around the world on merit. İstanbul Photo Awards has become one of the most widely known news photography contests in the world.
Description
The contest is open for professional photographers to apply in 10 categories. Photographers can take part in the contest with newsworthy photographs taken in this year. Competitors can submit their photos free of charge via the official website https://istanbulphotoawards.com/ .
The international jury, featuring the prestigious names in the photography world, will award the best photos in April. A total of 32 awards will be given in the contest, and the Photo of the Year award-winning photographer will receive a $6,000 prize. Two separate prizes will be awarded especially for the decennial of the contest.
The deadline is January 17 to apply; the contest invites photographers to apply for the chance to take part in international exhibitions and photo albums.

The total amount of the prize is $60,000 for the 10th year contest. In addition to the awards, this year the first prize winners of all categories will be awarded SONY Alpha A7 III Body cameras.
