A handful of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs created the International Design Awards in 2007 as a response to the lack of recognition and celebration for smart and sustainable multidisciplinary design.

Architectural Design

We aim to recognize individuals and teams who have made a substantial contribution in the field of architecture. Our award recognizes that excellence in architecture goes far beyond the practical purpose of a building.

We believe great architecture is about creating a lasting design that will remain for generations, inspiring people and enriching their lives. Innovative buildings can help redesign the way we live our lives for the better and enable us make the most of the space we have.

Interior Design

Fantastic interior design is about much more than simply making rooms look more stylish and attractive. It is about fulfilling the true potential of a space and enhancing our living experience.

At IDA, we are passionate about interior design and see it as an expression of creativity and potential, which transcends language barriers and speaks to everyone. Fashion Design

The International Design Awards is searching for fashion designers who know how to make an impact. MISSION STATEMENT

The International Design Awards (IDA) exists to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic, and Fashion Design. IDA aspires to draw attention to the iconoclasm of design world wide, conceptualizing and producing great work. Farmani Group assembled IDA as the design sibling of the Annual Lucie Awards for Photography, which has emerged as one of the world’s most prestigious photography awards.

The IDA trophy was designed by Ron Taft. The IDA logo, the 2007 and 2008 books where designed by Chen Design Associates, San Francisco The original IDA concept was established with a great help from Jamie Waguh.
