Children's Film Society Bangladesh is a film society totally run by children and young adults. Every year an international children's film festival is arranged under the auspices of this society along with many other events.
Description
International Children’s Film Festival BangladeshInternational Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh is an annual film festival held countrywide, which showcases full length features, shorts, experimental films made for and by children, including fiction animations and documentaries, from around the world. Founded in 2008, it is the biggest and also the only international film festival for children and young adults in Bangladesh.
The festival prevails with the vision of opening a new world of movies to the children of Bangladesh and exposing them to a diversity of cultures and traditions from various nations through cinema. One of the primary missions of the festival is to provide the youth with a platform to showcase their talent in media and to understand its role in bringing attention to various social issues and in learning through entertainment.
Submission Process
The festival offers an online submission process which requires filmmakers to register their film online, and once the films are registered the process requires the sending of the DVD package. The detailed submission process and the things it may require are described in the following.
REGISTER YOUR FILM
By filling out the online submission form
You have to register your film first through the online film submissions form which is available at http://www.cfsbangladesh.org/submissions
This phase may require the following things:
- Your personal information including your short biography and filmography as the director.
- Detailed information of your film including the technical details, full cast and credit list etc.
- Synopsis of the film (150 words) both in English as well as in the original language i.e. generally Bangla.
- Photograph of the director.
- At least 3 still photographs from the film.
PACK YOUR DVD
After the registration, it’s time to prepare your DVD package
DVD Pack: Write the video file of the film in a DVD. You can write the video either in VOB format or in MPEG, MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV etc format.
Online Version of the Film: We also consider online submission/file sending for films to avoid inconveniences of money and time.
The following papers must be sent in the package:
- Xerox copy of your birth certificate, national ID card and passport. (At least any two documents proofing your age for the Child Filmmaker’s Section, Young Bangladeshi Filmmaker’s Section, Social Film Section)
- The consent letter with parent’s signature on it. (For the child filmmaker’s section)
- Posters in Hard Copy (if any)
- Banners in Hard Copy (if any)
- DVD Cover in Hard Copy (if any)
- Film trailer/teaser (if any)
- Making of the film/any other extra video (if any)
Once your package is ready, send it to us as soon as possible
- Do not forget to write down your Registration Code on the package.
- The package should be clearly mentioned that: “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE, FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES ONLY.”
- Then send the package to the address given below:
