Competition aim

DOCEXDOCE, in collaboration with the architecture school of University of Granada (ETSAG), Université Libre de Bruxelles (La Cambre Horta) and Madrid European University, organizes the Second Edition of ‘DOCEXDOCE European Competition for Architecture Students’. The aim of the competition is to bring focus to students and get them involved, as well as to generate interaction between european architecture schools.

Participation requirements

Participants must fulfil the following requisite: being an undergraduate/master architecture student in any european school of architecture.

Participation process

Participants must enter the competition in teams of 2 to 4 members, and must not be members of more than one team. All team members must be ready to provide evidence of their student status should the organization require so.

There are two ways to participate:

On-site: participants wishing to work on-site at any of the 3 collaborating architecture schools premises are encouraged to do so. Working spaces will be provided by the schools on the day of the competition. Spaces are limited.

Online: students who cannot travel to Granada, Brussels or Madrid on the competition day may participate online. They will receive all necessary information online.

All participating projects must be presented in digital format and set via email or uploaded to the competition web on the day of the competition.

Languages

The competition languages in the Second Edition are English, Spanish and French.

All information about the competition will be available in any of these three languages. Participating projects can be written in either English, Spanish or French.

Entry process

Students wishing to participate in the competition must fill in the application form online. There is no entry fee. Applications to participate will be open until 15th april 2018 (GMT+1) or until all places have been filled.

Participation in the contest entails full acceptance of the rules.

Competition topic

The topic will be disclosed on the day of the competition. The dossier will be submitted online to participating teams. It will include enough written and graphic information so that participating teams can fully understand the topic and present a proposal.

Competition day

The competition itself will be held on 18 april 2018, starting at 9 am and finishing at 9pm (Madrid, GMT+1)

The topic will be disclosed at the beginning of the contest. Proposals sent after the deadline will not be considered.

Further information about delivering the project to the jury (size, format, email, etc) will be enclosed to the topic document and released on the day of the competition.

Others

Participants accept giving DOCEXDOCE rights of publishing and broadcasting the winning projects by any media, individual or in sets. By agreeing to this, the participants do not forfeit their rights as authors of the projects.

ES BASES DEL CONCURSO

Objeto de la convocatoria

Docexdoce, en colaboración con las escuelas de arquitectura de la Universidad de Granada (ETSAG), la Universidad Libre de Bruselas (La Cambre Horta) y la Universidad Europea de Madrid, convoca la Segunda Edición de ‘DOCEXDOCE Concurso Europeo para Estudiantes de Arquitectura’ con el objetivo de dar protagonismo a los estudiantes y favorecer la colaboración entre escuelas de arquitectura europeas.

Participantes

Podrán participar aquellos estudiantes de arquitectura matriculados oficialmente (Grado o Máster) en cualquier Escuela de Arquitectura en Europa durante el presente curso académico 2017/2018.

Modo de participación

Los concursantes participarán formando equipos de 2 a 4 integrantes. Cada participante puede concursar en un solo equipo. Los concursantes deberán acreditar documentalmente su condición de estudiantes en el caso que la organización lo requiera.

Existen 2 sistemas de participación:

Presencial: la participación se realizará en cualquiera de las 3 escuelas de arquitectura colaboradoras. Cada escuela habilitará una sala de trabajo para los equipos. Plazas limitadas.

Online: la participación online se habilita para todos aquellos equipos que no puedan desplazarse a Granada, Bruselas o Madrid. Los concursantes recibirán a través de internet toda la información necesaria para el desarrollo del concurso.

Tanto en el sistema online como en el presencial, las propuestas realizadas se entregarán a la organización en formato digital a través de internet.

Idiomas del concurso

Los idiomas de participación en esta segunda edición de DOCEXDOCE son el inglés, el español y el francés.

Toda la información relativa al concurso será publicada en los tres idiomas. Todas las propuestas realizadas por los participantes podrán ser escritas en cualquiera de los tres idiomas.

Inscripción

La inscripción se realiza de forma online a través de la web del concurso y es gratuita a todos los participantes. El período de inscripción finaliza el día 15 de Abril (GMT +1) o hasta completar plazas disponibles.

La inscripción del concurso supondrá la aceptación de todos los términos recogidos en este documento.

Tema del concurso

El tema del concurso es oculto hasta el inicio de la competición. El material necesario para la realización de una propuesta se podrá descargar de forma online desde la web del concurso. Se proporcionará una cantidad suficiente de información, escrita y gráfica, para la realización de una propuesta.

Día del concurso

El concurso comienza a las 09:00 horas del día 18 de Abril de 2018 y finaliza a las 21:00 horas del mismo día.

El inicio estará marcado por la habilitación para la descarga del tema del concurso por parte de la organización y no se aceptará ninguna propuesta enviada tras la finalización de la competición.

Las instrucciones necesarias para la entrega de la propuesta (tamaño, formato, correo/formulario web, etc.) serán comunicadas a los participantes junto al tema del concurso.

Otros

Los participantes de este concurso aceptan dar a DOCEXDOCE el derecho de publicación y difusión por cualquier medio, conjunto o individual, de los trabajos premiados, así como la adaptación de los mismo según el formato utilizado (digital o papel). Todo ello sin perjuicio del reconocimiento de su condición de autores del trabajo realizado.

Origine de l’appel à concours

DOCExDOCE, en collaboration avec les facultés d’architecture de l’Université de Grenade (ETSAG), l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (La Cambre Horta) et l’Université Européenne de Madrid, organise la Deuxième Édition de ‘DOCEXDOCE Concours Européen pour Étudiants en Architecture’ avec pour objectif de valoriser les étudiants et de promouvoir la collaboration entre facultés d’architecture à travers l’Europe.

Participants

Pourront participer tous les étudiants d’architecture inscrits officiellement (Bachelier ou Master) dans toute université européenne pour cette année académique 2017/2018.

Modes de participation

Les concurrents devront former des équipes de 2 à 4 personnes. Chaque participant ne peut intégrer qu’un seul groupe. Les concurrents peuvent se voir demander un certificat de matricule sous demande du comité organisateur.

Il existe deux modes de participation

Un mode online : les étudiants recevront à travers internet toutes les informations nécessaires au bon déroulement du concours.

Un mode présence : disponible pour les étudiants des universités collaboratrices, ils pourront ainsi participer en se rendant dans les locaux aménagés pour l’occasion par les 3 universités collaboratrices. Places limitées

Tant pour le mode online comme pour le mode présence, la remise des documents se fera au format digital sur internet.

Langues du concours

Les langues de participation de cette deuxième édition du concours DOCEXDOCE seront l’anglais, l’espagnol et le français

Toutes les informations relatives au concours seront publiées dans les trois langues. Toutes les propositions remises devront êtres écrites dans l’une de ces trois langues.

Inscription

L’inscription se déroule sous forme online au travers de la page web officielle DOCEXDOCE, l’inscription est gratuite pour tous les participants. La période d’inscription clôture le 15 Avril (GMT+1) ou jusqu’à l’épuisement des places disponibles.

La signature du formulaire d’inscription implique l’acceptation totale des conditions du règlement du concours.

Thème du concours

Le thème du concours est tenu secret jusqu’au début de la compétition. L’énoncé et toutes les informations nécessaires seront disponibles téléchargement sur la page web officielle. Ces dossiers disposent de suffisamment d’information, écrite ou graphique, nécessaires à la bonne réalisation du concours

Jour du concours

Le concours commence à 9:00 le mercredi 18 Avril et clôture à 21 :00 le même jour.

Le coup de départ de la compétition sera marqué par la mise en circulation de l’énoncé sur la page web officielle ou il sera téléchargeable. Aucune proposition ne sera acceptée après la deadline de 21h:00.

Les conditions spécifiques de remise (taille, format, adresse mail/formulaire web, etc.) seront adjointes à l’énoncé du concours

The decision of the jury is final and it will be made public within 30 days. The jury members reserve the right no to award some of the prizes if they consider it appropriate.
