Description

Zhejiang Yunhe Wooden Toy Creative Design Competition has been successfully held for 6 years since 2017. With the support of the organizers and collaborators, the competition's visibility and influence has been constantly growing, and it has brought positive social and economic benefits to the wooden toy industry. Therefore, 2023 (7th) Zhejiang Yunhe Wooden Toy Creative Design Competition continues to extend invitations to design organizations and independent designers from all over the world.

IV. Methods and Rules

(I) Scope of Entry

The competition is open to teachers and students of higher education institutions, enterprise designers and freelance designers from all over the world. The design can be wooden toys, wooden cultural creations. Such as toys, homes, ornaments, furniture, etc., and can also be combined with sound and light.

(II) How to Entry

Online submission: visit the official website www.yhmwdesign.com for registration.

(III) Entry Fee: Free

Network submission system - online call for entries, the winning designers are required to submit the original design drawings and relevant documents for patent application, cooperate with the patent application, the patent right belongs to the organizer, the designer has the right of authorship.

(IV) Submission Time: July 18 - October 8, 2023 (Beijing time)

Preliminary Judge: mid-October

Final Judge: Late October

 
V. Awards

• 1 Gold Award,Prize Money: 30,000 RMB, with Certificate & Trophy.
• 2 Silver Award, Prize Money: 15,000 RMB, with Certificate &Trophy.
• 3 Bronze Award, Prize Money: 10,000 RMB, with Certificate &Trophy.
• 10 ExcellentAward, Prize Money: 3,000 RMB, with Certificate.
• Several FinalistsAward, with Certificate.
• 3 Excellent Organization Award, Prize Money:5,000 RMB, with Certificate.

Total Awards: ¥135,000 RMB.

 
VI. Judging Criteria

• Innovativeness (30%): Including design concept, function, material technology, etc., it is required to have innovative elements, forward-looking conceptualization.
• Aesthetics and Completeness (20%): Aesthetically pleasing design and can fully and completely express the design concept and features.
• Technical feasibility (20%): Fully consider the characteristics of wood, and its manufacturing proces Design to reduce costs and improve the economic efficiency.
• Market value (30%): Fully consider the possibility of realization, withhigh market value that can contribute to the development of the wooden toy

VII. Submission Requirements

1. Entry must be original works, shall not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others or any other rights.
2. Entry that have participated in other design competitions or designed for third-party services are not allowed to participate in the competition.
3. Entry layout is required to be in JPGformat,300dpi, A2 size (420mm×594mm), vertical version. The layout file size not exceeding 5M, and a work is limited to one layout.
4. Entrylayout should include: the title of the competition, the name of the work, the overall effect, local details, the basic appearance of the dimensions, more than two major views, design description. The author's name and any mark should not appear in the layout.

VIII. Participation Instructions

Participants should read the following instructions in detail and confirm that they will comply with the following regulations during the competition:

1. Entries must be original works of the participants (shall not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others or any other rights), and created exclusively for this event (multiple submissions will be disqualified from the award if found).
2. The intellectual property rights of the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Excellence Awards in the Conceptual Ideas category belong to the Organizing Committee of the Competition. The intellectual property rights of the works of Excellence Award, Masterpiece Award, New Talent Award and Excellence Award in the Product Incubation Category belong to the enterprises. The organizing committee of the competition has the right to file patents for the awarded works before the works are exhibited. The design authors have the right to co-sign the patent. Participants are not allowed to apply for or transfer the intellectual property rights of the awarded works without the permission of the Organizing Committee.
3. The organizing committee of the competition has the right to display, publish and publicize all the entries. Without the permission of the Organizing Committee, no other units or individuals may publicize, publish or display the winning product design.
4. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the competition if he/she is legally responsible for any plagiarism or theft of trade secrets.
5. The organizing committee of the competition reserves the right to pursue the legal responsibility of the person responsible for any violation of the above terms and conditions.
