Take on the challenge to create innovative and sustainable BIM/3D designs, put on your creative caps and submit 3D / BIM design projects for judging by a panel of industry experts. To make sure the scoring is not compromised, be sure to follow the rules and use only Autodesk portfolio of products to create your design projects. Also, get the chance to learn documentation processes from Autodesk experts and win exciting prizes.
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is changing how buildings, infrastructure, and utilities are planned, designed, built and managed. The concept helps students to design future buildings or infrastructure projects that can help save natural resources or other life-supports. Being a completely new paradigm, BIM allows students/professionals to query their designs at an early stage of the design process, explore different options (including conceptual modeling), run structural & sustainable analysis, costing, detect problems (like clashes of structures) and resolve them before they are built on site. BIM is a process that involves creating and using an intelligent 3D model to inform and communicate project decisions.
Leveraging this new paradigm, 3D Student Design Challenge 2016 encourages students to create architectural designs, while learning in a real-world scenario.
