Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA) 2017

Description

The Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA) 2017 global digital media competition opens for entries and students around the world are invited to participate.Connected to industry professionals, academic leaders, and top brands, the ADAA is launching the next generation of student careers.

Competition winners receive global recognition, trophies, yearly Adobe Creative Cloud memberships, mentorship opportunities, certificates and much more. The best creatives will be invited to attend the Adobe MAX 2017 Conference held in Las Vega, Nevada, 16-20 October, 2017.
His year, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards include fourteen (14) competition categories and basically cover all creative disciplines.
Competition categories are grouped in three (3) main segments and include many different subcategories:

Fine Art

PHOTOGRAPHY
A single image or up to 10 images in a related series that’s photographic in nature and created for expression, aesthetics, or its own sake.

GRAPHIC DESIGN / PRINT
A digital or printed design created for expression, aesthetics, or its own sake.

ILLUSTRATION
A digital or printed illustration created for expression, aesthetics, or its own sake.

ANIMATION / MOTION GRAPHICS
A digital animation with any combination of computer-generated graphics, visual effects, composite text, or digital reproductions of drawn images created for expression, aesthetics, or its own sake. Only the first 5 minutes of the animation will be judged.

VIDEO EDITING / POST-PRODUCTION
Cinematic or live action video with any combination of computer-generated graphics, visual effects, or digital reproduction of images created for expression, aesthetics, or its own sake.

Commercial

PHOTOGRAPHY
A single image or up to 10 images in a related series that’s photographic in nature and created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

PRINT / GRAPHIC / ILLUSTRATION
A digital or printed design or illustration created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

VIDEO EDITING / POST-PRODUCTION
Cinematic or live action video with any combination of computer-generated graphics, visual effects, or digital reproduction of images created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

ANIMATION / MOTION GRAPHICS
A digital animation with any combination of computer-generated graphics, visual effects, composite text, or digital reproductions of drawn images created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

PACKAGING DESIGN
Mockups or produced packaging, containers, labels, bags, and similar designs created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

WEB / APP / GAME DESIGN
A website, mobile app, or game - interactive in nature - created for a client (fictional or real) - often, but not necessarily, for the purpose of promoting a product, service, person, place, or event.

Social Impact

PHOTOGRAPHY / PRINT / ILLUSTRATION / GRAPHIC
A still graphic (or series of still graphics) created to influence change towards a social or environmental cause.

VIDEO EDITING / POST-PRODUCTION / ANIMATION / MOTION GRAPHICS
A video, animation, or motion graphics piece created to influence change towards a social or environmental cause.

WEB / APP / GAME DESIGN
A website, mobile app, or game created to influence change towards a social or environmental cause.

Both individuals and groups may enter up to three (3) unique projects in each of the fourteen competition categories.
Last year, among the finalists, a total of 14 countries and 31 educational institutions were represented.
