Mr. U. G. Sato is a graphic designer who represents Japan being very famous in the world. His visual communication is full of humor and esprit that stimulate the globe over the barrier of language. His production genre reaches the three-dimensional arts like monumental statues, and still being continued by him.

We paid a visit to Mr. Nambu‘s atelier in Osaka on May 31, 2017. He is known as a famed graphic designer who plays an important part in developing the branding of enterprises and institutions and in the wide field of industries. He attended many of our exhibitions in the past and we keep a number of his works with us. We thus made a decision to have him involve in the project as one of the judges of Ogaki Matsuri Festival Exhibition.

When the Poster Exhibition of “Ogaki Matsuri” was planned in commemoration of registration as an Intangible UNESCO Cultural Heritage in 2016, I restudied hard on the genuine Mino Paper and silkscreen print technic. I assisted the preparation of guidelines, editorial supervision on the colors of recorded posters, production of print data, and the designing of work unit. I deeply felt the time changes in the poster making then.
