Description
For the Film category, you are free to experiment within genres, but should be able to motivate your approach conceptually. Entrance into the filmmaking awards category requires that you provide a framework and structure for your film. You must be able to prove that you will be able to deliver on both a technical and a conceptual level, and you will have to prove that you can pitch an idea and produce the film.SUBMISSION CRITERIA
The work of entrants will be adjudicated by an independent panel of judges. To be eligible for entry, there are number of criteria to consider. Entrants are expected to take careful note of the information and conditions in this section. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Judging of the filmmaking awards will be adjudicated by an independent panel of judges, comprised of prominent filmmakers and academics.You are encouraged to investigate the role that concrete or cement plays in creating our environments.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence with the organisers/judges will be allowed. It is in the sole and final discretion of the organisers/judges to cancel any entry on the grounds of illegality, infringement of any third party rights, or a transgression of the constitutional right of freedom of expression.
Rewards
FIRST PRIZE
$2 807Finalists will be promoted online and winners in this category receive R50 000. Runners-up will receive a R15 000 award. Winners get automatic entry into the gala exhibition, with the chance to win a grand prize of R100 000, and the title of PPC Imaginarium Champion.
SECOND PRIZE
