Founded in 1985, the HOW brand began its life as a print magazine. Today, the brand still includes an award-winning design magazine, but has grown to encompass a host of products and events including several design competitions, HOW U’s online design courses, design books (available at MyDesignShop.com) and more. Whether you work for a design firm, for an in-house creative department or for yourself, it’s our mission to serve the business, creativity and technology needs of graphic designers.
Description
HOW’s In-House Design Awards recognize the best creative work produced by designers doing in-house work for corporations, associations and organizations. From corporate identity, sales collateral, point-of-purchase displays, employee communication, membership materials and more, this premiere awards program shines a spotlight on an under-represented segment of the design industry. - BEST OF SHOW Winner scores a free Big Ticket registration to HOW DESIGN LIVE 2018, plus an award to be presented at the conference.

Categories are to be selected based on the type of business done by the corporation/organization/institution submitting the work. Example: If submitting on behalf of an in-house team for an university, select Education (schools, universities, daycare) as the entry category.

How to Enter
- Entries must be entered online.
- You may submit up to 10 files per entry (10 MB per file). File formats for digital images include: .jpg and .jpeg and only (do not submit .png, .pdf, .tif or .gif files) in RGB color mode no smaller than 3 inches for the shortest dimension at 300 dpi. Larger dimensions are preferred for detail and cropping. If the entry is a website, please include screen captures or still images based on the size and file format specifications above for production in the magazine.If the entry is a video, file formats include: .mov; .avi; .mp4; .wma. - Credit all persons involved in the creation of the piece. HOW isn’t responsible for incorrect, illegible or incomplete credit information.
- Release date of submission must fall between May 1, 2016 and this competition’s final deadline.
- Describe the objective and results of your entry in 100 words or less and include the description on the entry form.
