La Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, qui accueille des étudiants et chercheurs du monde entier dans un environnement multiculturel, est une fondation privée, reconnue d’utilité publique depuis 1925 et étroitement liée aux universités de Paris. Ignorant les frontières, la Cité internationale fait figure d’exception territoriale. Ses 40 maisons, érigées dans un parc paysager, arborent les couleurs de la diversité du monde. Ses 12 000 résidents, qui composent une mosaïque de 150 nationalités, se côtoient dans un univers de brassage culturel, mettant à profit leur séjour pour vivre de nouvelles expériences et créer des liens durables.
Description
La Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, avec le soutien du mécénat de la Caisse des Dépôts, vous invite à candidater pour réaliser un jardin éphémère dialoguant avec l’architecture du site. Imaginées sur le thème de la nature en ville et prenant en compte les enjeux du développement durable, ces créations paysagères éphémères in situ devront comporter une dimension végétale. Une bourse d’un montant de 8 000 € par projet sera attribuée aux cinq projets sélectionnés.
La sélection des candidats se fera sur la cohérence et l’originalité du propos artistique, sur la prise en compte des missions et des valeurs portées par la Cité internationale, sur l’insertion harmonieuse de l’œuvre dans le site paysager, sur la qualité de son dialogue avec l’architecture mais aussi sur la teneur de son message en matière de développement durable et sur sa faisabilité technique.
L’exposition « Jardins du monde en mouvement » se tiendra du 14 mai au 4 novembre et s’adressera à tous les publics du campus : les résidents et les visiteurs du site.
