Description
Lab.14 art contest, is a call for submissions open to all kind of artists. Works allowed in the art competition are: drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, graphics, mix media and video. A great opportunity for the artists, which can win a cash prize, have the opportunity to exhibit the artworks in Venice and much more.

The following types of works are admitted: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Mixed media, Digital, Video, Graphics, Net art, other (all visual works that can be reproduced through a picture are allowed).
The contest is addressed to professional and amateur artists, graphic designers, painters, photographers, etc. from all over the world. The theme is free.

Imagoars cultural association was born in 2009 in Venice thanks to a group of artists and art enthusiasts promoting events into the sphere of Art with the purpose of showing and promoting high-quality artistic expressions, from painting to sculpture, from installations to performances. Its activity is aimed at enlarging the knowledge of Art and spreading it through its different languages. Art is not seen as the pure reproduction of the physical world nor as the devastation of our shared satisfying aesthetic equilibrium. Instead, by proposing a new approach towards it, Imagoars conceives it as a contribution for the growth of human sensitivity in order to create a better quality of life inside a shared common ground, namely a “common-city”, more opened and tolerating towards diversity.

Collaboration award for a new collection
Malamegi is raffling the creation of a new collection of works by the selection of one artist among the 12 finalists of the contest. The collaboration will enable the artist to develop an entire collection of his works that will be advertised and presented to all buyers of the commercial network.Artwork acquisition award
Malamegi Lab will acquire one among 12 final artworks. This artwork will become part of the Malamegi Lab’s private collection. The award has a maximum purchase value of € 2000,00.Cash prize
$1 164At the end of the collective exhibition, to an artist among the 12 selected will be awarded a cash prize of € 1,000. The award will be given based on the quality and originality of the work on display. The winning work will remain property of the artist. The prize is a contribution to the development of art and artist's aesthetic research.
Monographic book prize
A monographic book will be dedicated to one of the finalists. The monography will be curated by Malamegi Lab with the support of final exhibition's curators. The book will be edited, developed, printed and distributed at Malamegi Lab expenses. Apart the copies in distribution, another ones will be added for the artist's personal use. The monograph will be printed in about 100 copies, of which 20 will be left to the artist. The distribution of monographs will be curated by Malamegi on behalf of its best customers and collectors.Timeline
