Landezine was started in June of 2009. Since then it has been showcasing landscape architecture projects made by landscape architects and architects from around the globe. Today, Landezine is internationally renowned landscape architecture website and one of the most visible in the profession. More than 5,000 visitors from all over the world visit landezine.com every day. After exactly 7 years, we now expanded our network and empowered our voice in the global community by opening “Landscape Issues” section and by launching LILA, Landezine International Landscape Award.
Description
LILA aims to honour a progressive landscape architecture practice that both significantly contributes to exploring contemporary landscape issues and offers creative solutions to challenges that our profession is facing. LILA is seeking daring, experimental office that pursue an excellent design approach and is able to offer appropriate and innovative answers to complex questions.Eligibility
Office categoryAll offices and individuals that practice landscape architecture from around the world are welcome to enter. The office must have at least one project built and a minimum of 2 years of active practice. Offices can only represent themselves with digital material that they are allowed to redistribute and publish on Landezine media and Landezine’s social channels. Projects included in the submission for “office” category are not automatically included in the “project” category. They need to be sent separately in the “project” category.
Project category
All offices and individuals that practice landscape architecture from around the world can submit built landscape projects. Entrants can only submit projects they designed. Entrants can only send digital material that they are allowed to redistribute and publish across Landezine media and Landezine’s social channels. Only projects that were built after January 1st 2013 can enter. Projects included in the submission for “office” category are not automatically included in the “project” category. They need to be sent separately in the “project” category.
Product category
Manufacturers can submit up to 3 public benches or elements for sitting that can be easily implemented in a wide range of public, urban landscapes.
LILA Product award is a Popular Choice Award. This means that the visitors of Landezine will vote for the products via online, IP based voting.
All entries will be published on LILA website and Landezine. Editors of Landezine will select a longlist of products to ensure that only contemporary benches suitable for urban public space will be eligible for voting. Light structured private garden benches, sofas that include fabric, picnic benches and replicas of historic benches will not be eligible for voting, but will be published on Landezine and LILA website anyway.
One entry can contain one product. One product is considered a product with specific product name. If your bench comes in different variations, such as colour, with or without backrests, armrests you can submit the variations as one product/entry. The submitted products must be in production and available for purchase.
The Jury will select winners in the “Office” and “Project” categories. Visitors of Landezine will vote and select winners of Popular Choice award from longlists of entries in “Office”, “Project” and “Product” categories.
Landezine editorial will also select all suitable submissions from the Office and Projects categories and publish them on landezine.com
