Mars City Design challenge 2017
Call for projects organizer
Description
Mars City Design was born from the vision of Vera Mulyani, who always dreamt of becoming an architect of Mars. Founded in Silicon Beach in Los Angeles, California, Mars City Design has become the action step to realizing not just the exploration of Mars, but making Mars a second home for humans.
Mulyani explains, “It is not enough to just travel to Mars and survive, now we must develop a way in which we can sustainably live and love on Mars. It is essential that we call on a new generation of thinkers and innovators to make this a reality.”
Mars City Design's world renowned team of cross disciplinary experts are here to assist the winning teams to fully develop, finalize and visualize their design projects for sustainable cities solutions on Mars.Jury

Mr. Manning has been working space missions at JPL since early 1980s, right out of Caltech. After a decade or so building spacecraft avionics and software, Mr. Manning transitioned to guidance and control and systems design of interplanetary missions.
