The Nexon Computer Museum is a museum on Jeju Island, South Korea. It opened on July 27, 2013. It is known as one of the first permanent museum in Korea that is dedicated for the history of computer and video games
Description
Every Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) content is eligible for entry, with no limitation in platform and genre.
Total prize is 10 million KRW (South Korean Won) and winners get chance to be supported with development sponsorship worth of 10 million KRW in following year.
NCM Open Call welcomes emergent imagination with artistic and innovative comprehension of Virtual Reality. It aims for ongoing contest, in which artists can complete their project with Nexon Computer Museum and its visitors. Anyone with creative idea to broaden perspective of thoughts and emotion can apply regardless of nationality, age, sex and profile.
In 2016, when VR technology was still not so familiar, Nexon Computer Museum started NCM Open Call with its first slogan “VR, why just sit-watching?.” 2nd NCM Open Call was held in 2017 under the theme of “Beyond Reality, Around Reality, Through Reality,” broadening itself to Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) entries.
This year, as part of its 3rd Open Call, Nexon Computer Museum is calling for active participation in VR, AR and MR contents creation. Are you “VReady”?
