About Red Dot Award: Product Design
The Red Dot Award: Product Design, whose origins date back to 1955, appraises the best products created every year. In 48 categories, manufacturers and designers can enter their innovations in the competition. On Young Professionals Application Day, graduates of design courses who have obtained their academic qualifications within the past five years have the opportunity to take part in the draw for one of 50 free registration places. According to the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the jury evaluates the entries and only awards a Red Dot to products that win them over with their high design quality.

The expertise and many years of experience accumulated by the Red Dot Award: Product Design offers manufacturers and designers a platform where they can have respected experts assess the design quality of their products. Successful designs win a Red Dot, the well-known symbol of good design.
Just a few steps to success
You can register on the My Red Dot Portal in just a few steps: After selecting the appropriate category for you, simply add information on the product, the manufacturer and the designer. Then deliver your functioning product to us.
The expert panel convenes in March to assess all of the entries. After the evaluation process spanning several days, the winners are chosen and notified by us. All winners must book the Winner Package. Once you have booked the Winner Package, you can immediately start to use the well-known Red Dot Label and communicate news of your success. Together with the other laureates, you can celebrate your win in June 2020 at the Red Dot Gala. We look forward to welcoming you to this high-profile international event!

Entry Rules
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is open to manufacturers and designers from all over the world whose products are manufactured using an industrial production process. The market launch of the submission must have taken place by 1 June 2020 and cannot be more than two years old as of the date of registration. Furthermore, participants need to agree to the General Terms and Conditions.
