The Chateau Gallery (TCG) is a contemporary hybrid art and studio space based in the heart of historic Old Louisville. Throughout its many lives, the monolithic building served as the estate of a tobacco baron, a funeral parlor, The Kentucky College of Barbering, an unlicensed childcare center, a "cocaine dealer's palace," and a law office. TCG is an avant-garde colossus of brick, mortar, wooden beams, and traditional white gallery walls — occupying a time and place between the antique and the contemporary. TCG's ethos is to transcend borders and broadcast multi-faceted viewpoints through artistic, ideological, and philosophical exchange.

The Chateau Gallery’s second annual still life exhibition. From ancient Greco-Roman artworks to Dutch vanitas paintings, the still life has permeated art history for ages. Show us your most inimitable or transformative scenes of inanimate objects. What contemporary elaborations do you add to this lasting genre of imagery?
