Description
CGTrader, a company running an online 3D model marketplace, has introduced the Digital Art Competition, which is open to all digital artists (both 2D and 3D): https://www.cgtrader.com/digital-art-competition !The CGTrader Digital Art Competition gives participants exposure in our 1.2M+ user community and the chance to win prizes valued over $60,000.
You can submit up to three works of art to each of the six categories: Character Illustration, Character Concept Design, Environment Illustration, Environment Concept Design, Object Design, and Object Concept Design. Entries will also have the chance to win the Public Award.
There are no hard requirements, and artworks do not have to be created exclusively for the competition, so feel free to show everyone your best and favorite works. For more details, visit the competition page and be sure to check out the Categories & Prizes section!
What is the CGTrader Digital Art Competition?
All it takes is these 3 simple steps:
- Select a relevant category and enter your CG artwork.
- Add a tag “Participant of CGTrader Digital Art Competition” (with a clickable link to CGTrader's page) on your portfolio website.
- Fill in the submission form and start competing for the prizes.
Categories and prizes
Submit your artwork to one of the six Competition categories and win great prizes
Illustration
Character Illustration
Whether you are creating CG humans, historical personalities or mythical beings, this is the category to showcase the best characters in your portfolio. Final versions of both real and fantasy creatures, including fan art, can be submitted for this nomination.
Environment Illustration
Digitally designed spaces which fully convey your style and emotion are a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the artist. Finalized environments, from interiors and exteriors to natural landscapes find their place in this category.
Object Design Illustration
All detailed or stylized separate objects, from modern product design to a moldy rock or a cool spaceship design, find their place in this category. Please note that artworks containing visible brands or watermarks cannot participate in the Competition.
Concept Art
Character Concept Art
Some character and creature concepts are works of art on their own. This is the category where you can submit your game character concepts, cartoon character sketches, including character designs of both real and imaginary creatures. You can also submit fan arts of your favorite characters.
Environment Concept Art
Conceptual environments, sketched interiors and exteriors or natural landscapes find their place in this category. If you have fantasy land concepts or places that are waiting to come alive, submit them to this category.
Object Design Concept Art
Your greatest sketches and concept art of separate objects (e.g. furniture concepts, gun sketches, props, etc.), including prototypes and conceptual CG product design can be submitted to this category. Please note that artworks containing visible brands or watermarks cannot participate in the Competition.
