What is Eco-Challenge?

The eco-challenge is the special category of sustainable innovation with multidimensional impact through the products and services developed by young entrepreneurs within the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas). The Eco-Challenge supports young entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean to develop solutions that respond to the local and regional context and that can be scaled as sustainable businesses.

This program is organized by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), PepsiCo and the Organization of American States with support from cbc in Central America and Postobón in Colombia.

At Eco-Challenge we are looking for young entrepreneurs between 18 and 34 years who propose innovative, viable business solutions that promote sustainable development in our region and are aligned with the new objectives of the Development Agenda. The finalists will travel with expenses paid to the place of the Finals and will have the opportunity to share by seed capital, among other benefits.

Solutions that increase access to nutritious, healthy, and adequate food and beverages, at affordable prices, and that positively support the nutrition of low-income populations, especially in rural areas

Solutions that recognize that the relationship between food and people involve the protection of the environment, and the development of sustainable ways of producing and consuming food

Solutions that reduce gender inequality, particularly by supporting young people and women access to the labor market, and in response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
