Typomania Moscow International Festival — cultural and educational project dedicated to the type, typography, calligraphy, lettering, motion-design, interactive design. Typomania is held in Moscow annually since 2012.The festival is focused on the letter, word, language. In program: poster and book exhibitions, lectures, workshops of russian and foreign specialists it graphic design, typography, digital arts, also in program will be typography video contest, book store and other events.
Typomania 2018 will take place in Moscow on 26 of May — 3 of June in the Museum of Moscow. Theme of Typomania 2018 — «East-West».
THE VIDEO CONTEST 2018
The competition of typographical videos is one of the key events of the Typomania festival. Typomania wait your typographical videos, where the type will be an active component, from 1st of Murch 2018 till 1st of May 2018. International jury will be checking all works. The results will be announced on May, 27th at the Museum of Moscow (Russia, Moscow, Zubovskiy bulvar, 2).
ENTRY THEMES
1. Share your videos where the font is playing the key role.
2. East-West
«East-West» is a theme of Typomania 2018. You can interpret this theme as you wish: geography, politic, culture, personal experiences.
3. Presentation of a typeface
Video demonstrating the abilities and specificity of type.
4. Movie titles
Captions for movies, cartoons, TV series, TV programs.Commercial and student works.
5. Text visualization
Visualization of a song, a poem or of another text.
6. Typomania
