Depuis onze ans maintenant, l’école d’Architecture de Marseille organise chaque année en janvier un workshop de deux semaines entre les deux semestres universitaires.
Ce workshop fait partie du cursus universitaire de l’école  tous les étudiants en 4ème année y participent. Cet évènement est également ouvert à des visiteurs venus d’autres écoles en France et dans le monde. L’effectif totalise environ 120 étudiants chaque année. Soit 12 équipes de 10, chacune encadrée par un enseignant ou une personnalité extérieure compétente.
Afin d’offrir des thèmes de réflexion de qualité, l’atelier de projet « Interface Ville/Nature » du département AVT est dédié à l’organisation du workshop.
Pendant un semestre, les étudiants de cet atelier de deuxième année de Master réalisent une analyse poussée du site. Elle permet l’élaboration d’un corpus de scénarios qui constituent des axes de projet, développés ou non par les participants.
À la fin des deux semaines, les étudiants de l’atelier récupèrent les travaux et les mettent en forme afin de permettre la production d’une publication et d’une exposition. Certains étudiants continuent à explorer les thèmes abordés pendant le workshop sous forme de projets de fin d’étude (PFE) voire de thèses encadrées par l’École pendant trois ans.
Les premières éditions du workshop ont permis le développement de l’idée de Bateau-Bus, aujourd’hui partie intégrante du dispositif de transport de la métropole. Les années suivantes, l’événement a été organisé en partenariat avec le Port Autonome de Marseille.
Depuis cinq ans, le workshop fait l’objet d’une collaboration avec le parc national des calanques, pour questionner l’interface entre espaces urbains et parc naturel.
Cette année, il se focalise sur la ville de la Ciotat pour traiter ce thème Ville/Nature.

For eleven years now, the school of Architecture of Marseille organizes every year in january a workshop of two weeks between the two semesters of 4th years s​tudents.
This workshop is part of the program of the school: all the students in 4th year participate in it. This event is also opened to visitors come from the other schools in France and in the World. The staff totals approximately 120 students every year. That is 12 teams of 10, each supervised by a teacher or a competent outside personality.
To offer quality themes for reflection, the studio of project «Interface City  nature» of the AVT department is dedicated to the organization of the workshop.
During half a year, the students of this studio of the second year of Master’s degree realize an advanced analysis of the site. It allows the elaboration of a corpus of scenarios which establishaxes of project, developed or not by the participants.
At the end of two weeks, the students of the studio regroup the works and shape them to allow the production of a publication and an exhibition. Some students continue to explore tackled issues during the workshop in the form of projects of the end of study (PFE) and some even can pursue to a thesis (3 years).
The first edition of the workshop allowed the development of the idea of Boat-bus, today integral part of the device of transport of the metropolis. Next years, the event was organized in partnership with the Autonomous Port of Marseille.
For five years, the workshop has been the object of a collaboration with the National park of Creeks, to question the interface between urban spaces and natural reserve.
This year, it focuses on the city of Ciotat to handle this theme City nature.
