Established in May, 2010, A Smith Gallery is located in Johnson City, Texas in the Nugent Avenue Arts District. The gallery exhibits the work of both amateur and professional photographers through juried and invitational exhibitions. Amanda Smith and Kevin Tully are the Gallery Directors. Izzie and WeeGee are the gallery cats.

“the photographic performance 2017”
Do you have a body of work or a concept for an exhibition that is photography or photography based? We are looking for compelling solo or cooperative exhibitions to fill our interior salon space. It can be only photographic images, photography combined with mixed media, photography as sculpture, photography based installations or… We are hoping you can show us what it can be.

It can be only photographic images, photography combined with mixed media, photography as sculpture, photography based installations or… We are hoping you can show us what it can be.
Two exhibition proposals will be selected to be exhibited in the Salon from either August 25 to October 8, 2017 or from October 13 to November 19, 2017.
Along with each entry application, an artist statement and written proposal explaining the exhibition should be emailed to amanda@asmithgallery.com.
Creativity is encouraged.
JURORS
The directors of the gallery, Amanda Smith and Kevin Tully, will be the jurors.
SUBMISSION
Guidelines: Digital images should 1000 pixels on the longest side saved in JPEG format at 72 ppi. Each image should be labeled with consecutive numbers followed by your name, i.e. 1FirstName_LastName.jpg. The number should correspond with the number on the application form. Please do not watermark your images.

Online: Fill out our online application to apply, send images, and make payment with Paypal. You will receive an email confirmation upon receiving the entry and payment. You can also fill and submit the online application, print out your confirmation email, and mail it with a check for your fees to the address below.

Mail: Please prepare a submission form with your name, address, email address and phone number along with a list of the titles and printing process of each entry. The number of each title should correspond to the image number on the cd. CD’s and submission form should be mailed to:

SUBMISSION
Entry Fee: $50 for minimum 10 to maximum 20 images. Entry fees are not refundable.
ELIGIBILITY
Submissions are open to all photographers both professional and amateur. International entries are welcomed.
SALES
The gallery will retain 40% of the sales price.
USE RIGHTS
Photographers retain full rights to their own images. The gallery will use the photographer’s images for publicity purposes.
