Tschutti Heftli 2018 Collectors Album Illustration Contest

2018 World Cup in Russia: For the sixth time already tschutti heftli is taking care of the artistic highlight of this major sporting event. Since 2008 we have been publishing a sticker album of a special kind: instead of boring photographs the tschutti heftli collector’s album presents real works of art. All teams are designed by illustrators, graphic designers, cartoonists, and other artists. In order to find artists for our next album, we are holding an illustration competition.

CATEGORIES
Main Competition Convince our jury that your illustrations must be part of our collector’s album by designing a portrait of one of the greatest footballers of all time: Diego Armando Maradona. You are free to choose how you want to do this: in 2- or 3-D, in color or monochrome, digital or analogue, painted, pasted or drawn – whatever procedure suits you best for this task. Hand in your work until August 31, 2017, as a PDF or JPG file in at least A4 format at 300 dpi. Send it to: contest@tschuttiheft.li New: Under-13 Category For the first time, tschutti heftli is promoting young artists with the competition: children and teenagers born in 2004 or after are invited to draw their favorite football player. PRIZES
Main Competition The winners will have the privilege to design one of the teams of the 2018 World Cup for our legendary collector’s album. The distribution of the album in Switzerland, Germany, and further European countries will offer you a great platform to present your work to a large audience. All artists represented in our album will receive a lump sum for their expenses, the amount of which will be determined by the sales figures of our album. And lest we forget: we will award cash prizes totaling 5,000 Swiss Francs (approx. 4,600 Euros) for the best works. New: Under-13 Category The best 11 portraits (selected by a jury under the guidance of the tschutti heftli team) will be part of our collector’s album. They will be made into a sticker for a special page in our album called “Under-13 All Stars”. In addition, you will get an album complete with all stickers, plus a tschutti heftli surprise package full of great presents.

SELECTION PROCESS
Main Competition Each member of the jury will select one artist to design one of the 2018 World Cup teams (11 players plus the coach and emblem = a total of 13 stickers) for our album. In addition, each of these artists will receive 300 Swiss Francs (approx. 270 Euros) in prize money. Besides their favorites, each member of the jury will nominate four further artists for a shortlist. From this shortlist, the tschutti heftli team will then pick the other artists to draw teams for our 2018 World Cup album. The artists thus selected will receive 100 Swiss Francs (approx. 80 Euros) in prize money.) Important: The prize money is only awarded to the winner if she or he agrees to draw a whole team for our collector’s album. The jurying will take place in September 2017. The winners will be personally notified until October 2017 and their works will be presented on our Facebook page and through other communication channels. From November 2017 until the end of January 2018, the winners will have time to design their team. Kategorie U13 From all the submitted works, a special jury under the guidance of the tschutti heftli team will select 11 works.
