Well Building 2050 - 2018 edition contest

Description

Elithis - a French leading engineering and consultancy group in energy economy and environmental performance - is now re-editing Well Building 2050, its international design contest for housing in 2050 that aims to explore the future of the urban Habitat.

Open to students from all over the world, this contest is addressed to dreamy, thoughtful and committed citizens who want to contribute to the big challenges of our time, by giving shape to an urban utopia that implements the three pillars of sustainable development, with energy efficiency and quality of life for purposes.

This year, the contest’s thematic is “Imagine the tower of the future”. Utopia is in the heart of the topic, participants are invited to release their creativity, to offer to us visionaries projects.

To compete, each team must not exceed a maximum of 5 to 10 members and must include – at least- one student in architecture. Built around the architecture, engineering and design professions, teams must be composed of varied fields of specialization, such as arts, health, economy, data sciences, sociology or philosophy for example. Each team must be sponsored by an experienced architect.
