National Association Academy of Photography Yanka Kürkchieva is a non-profit organization founded on March 12, 1999 The association is designed to popularize and store photographic art in Bulgaria and abroad. The main goals of the association are to promote of professional ethical norms and the protection of the copyright of its members. The Academy of Photography is registered in the Register of Collective Management of Copyright at the Ministry of Culture. Since April 2002, Academy of Photography has been a member of FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) and its representative for Bulgaria.

The Wild:
“The Wild” is an interntional photo salon under FIAP and APB patronages.
“The Wild” is a photo salon organized by Academy of Photography Bulgaria - Yanka Kyurkchieva and is founded since 2010 year. Its unique topic "The wild animals and nature landscapes" is conceived to add more and more color to the Bulgarian and world photo life. And to give a place and forum of a wide range of professional and amateur photographers to share their photos from the nature.
